Whether you're a beginning or expert quilter, you can create a beautiful baby or toddler quilt with just two panels of fabric. In this Ocean Dreams quilt pictured below, a two yard panel of fabric creates the entire front design.
The reason for success? The large scale motif creates enough visual interest to keep the quilt visually interesting. Also consider how you can quilt the design to add more texture and detail to the design.
Custom stuffy's, a dreamy banner, and a pillow case enhance the design from a just a quilt to a full toddler bedding collection.
Key Tip: While you can create a whole cloth quilt of many sizes, keep in mind the width of the fabric. This custom fabric was printed on Spoonflower petal cotton fabric, which is 42" wide. The final size of the quilt is 36"x60" which is a great size for a toddler bed.
*Stay tuned, this fabric design collection, including cut and sew stuffy's and dream banner will be available on Spoonflower soon!
